What are some…nature craft ideas? Ten of them?

What are some…nature craft ideas? Ten of them?

I don't mean stuff to do IN nature, stuff to do WITH nature. Like cards, or frames, etc, stuff like that, things you can make WITH nature. Does anyone have ten ideas? Thanks!!!!

Use colorful leaves and flowers to make pictures, you could then use the pictures for cards or hang them on your fridge. Make rubbings of different leaf types and not the patterns. Collect acorns and make small holes in them to loop a string through and make a necklace. Find some nice flat stones, paint them and make pet rocks. Take some construction paper and place leaves and other items from outside and leave them in the sun to create sun prints. Make a wreath by wrapping vines together and then weave flowers into them….

That's all I can come up with. Hope this helps!

Dry flowers or leaves between pages of a book so they are flat and then laminate to make a book mark. I did this with my favorite flower, Bugambilia, and also with this ginormous clover leaf I found in the Redwood Forest. It's a good way to preserve a little bit of an exotic place that you visit.

Leaves: Put ink on one side of a leaf and stamp paper. Makes a nice design on the front of a note card.

Leaves: Put Fall leaves between 2 pieces of wax paper and iron them flat using a low setting on the iron. Just before you sit down to a Thanksgiving dinner, pull the waxed paper apart and put the soft Fall leaves on the table for decoration. They stay flat for an hour or two.

Leaves: Put flattened Fall leaves between 2 squares of clear glass (depending on size of leaf). Go around all edges of the glass with a roll of metal tape you see at stained glass craft stores. It will look like a frame. Solder a chain to one side and hang as a window decoration. You can do this with pressed flowers, as well but they do fade after being out in the light.

Rocks: Paint a smooth rock with an interesting design. I have a rock that is shaped like a sleeping cat and I painted the details on it. It makes a great paperweight. You might want to paint on the rock the face of a raccoon or a bird you love. A large rock could be used as a door stop.

Rocks: Collect smooth river rocks and wash them well. Put a gold or rust colored votive candle on the bottom of a squat water glass and then fill the glass perhaps an inch with the river rocks. Tie raffia around the top of the glass. Makes a pretty candleholder.

Shells: Take nice flat shells that are in good condition and glut them to a picture frame. You could even cut the shelves in half if you have a fine motorized saw. You can put a mirror in the back and make a nice bathroom decoration.

Shells: Attach a piece of raffia on a shell either through a hole or around a projection. It makes a nice scoop for bath salts.

Shells: Plant a small succulent in a shell. Makes a nice pot.

Shells: Hot glue a metallic cord to small, pretty shells and use as Xmas tree ornaments Use a starfish as the topper to a tree.

Shells: Drill a small hole and insert a wire that has been twisted to form a double loop or like the end of a paper clip. You can use a small dowel to keep the shapes uniform. Use it for a place card holder.

Flowers: Press flowers and then arrange between 2 pieces of adhesive plastic to make book marks.

Pine cones: Fasten thin wire to their bases and make them into a wreath. Hot glue artificial berries or nuts here and there and tie a big bow.

Pine Cones: Stand up a pine cone and decorate it to look like a small Xmas tree with small beads and cord. Make a small felt tree skirt to put under it.

Pine Cones: Hot glue a cord to the cones and hang as Xmas tree ornaments. You could dab their ends with white paint so they look as if they had snow on them. You could even add a bit of glitter.
